Bahadur Shah Zafar II returned to Pink Fort like a British prisoner, was experimented with in 1858, and exiled to Rangoon on 7 Oct that 12 months.[29] Following the conclusion from the rebellion, the British sacked the Crimson Fort prior to ordering its systemic demolition.
